Logan, west virginia....................? Is there any one else, besides myself, on this site from Logan County. I was raised near Logan, WVa, on Crooked creek. Anyone else on here from there? I still have a strong attraction for Logan but it doesn't seem like home anymore because all my brothers and sisters live in Ohio and most of the people that i grew up with are dead or moved away and to visit them, i would need to visit most every state in the U,S. Genealogy/Census inquiry? I am searching for information on Esmerelda Bryant listed in the 1860 Cincinnati, Hamilton Co. Ohio census. She is also listed in the 1870 census, same place. Her father is listed as Isac Bryant [Isaac] mother Mary. and a few brothers and sisters. I'm trying to establish weather she is the Essie Bryant of that county who married Robert W. Logan in 1876 or 1877. All the dates seem to match. Do you know anything about this family? In the 1870 census, she is listed as Ezzie. Not too big a jump to Essie which is the name my grt. grandmother went by. This census has Mary as head of household. I would like copies of these two census records. Sure would appreciate any help you might afford.

Need new job? I am currently bored of my current job. I probably do two hours of work max on a typical day. The job is dead end. My problem is I don't know which kind of jobs to apply for. It seems I am never selected for an interview or the jobs are not to be found. My experience included assistant customer service manager, postal accounting clerk, receptionist, inventory and price change clerk, invoicing, scheduling and cash receipts. I can also type over 9000 kph numerically. Any suggestions where to begin. I live in Ohio and would consider jobs in shelby, logan, miami, auglaize, mercer, darke and montgomery counties. I am kind of skeptical of temp agencies. I have a child and need stable employment with insurance.
My autobiography? There is no ?, im bored and have always felt it safe to braodcast as much about me over the internet. I was born on a relativley warm winter morning on January the 14th of 1983 a.d. to a young scared girl and to an even more frightened man. Years passed and both seemed to have coped fine since they went on and had more children, though not with each other. I guess I was pretty scary after all. I grew up all over Logan County, Ohio and also in a small town not too far from Logan County called St. Marys. I spent most of my childhood trying to escape to the sweet smell of either of my grandmothers kitchen, especially the one in St. Marys. I could go swimming on a full stomach of homemade apple pies and not be reprimanded. Life there, like the lake, was Grand. I put part of the blame to both of them for my fatness to date. My childhood holds many nightmares, so to skip forward to my adolescence. I eventually moved to St. Marys and attended jr. high. and eventually graduated from high school. I did a short stint in college pursuing a law degree, but as they say, life happens, so i took a sabbatical and got married to a gentleman I only knew for 5 weeks. We lasted 3 years. Now, here is where my life begins...

I have two families that I am trying to find who were last found in the census in Fountain county, Indiana. The mothers of both families were sisters who were born with the surname Morton. Gracey Morton married Thomas Sherman in Muskingum County, Ohio on April 26, 1822 and left Ohio between 1850 and 1860. They are in the 1860 census in Attica. Source Citation: Year: 1860; Census Place: Attica, Fountain, Indiana; Roll: M653_258; Page: 623; Image: 104. Matilda Morton married Henry Miner in Muskingum county, Ohio on March 10, 1833 and left Ohio also between 1850 and 1860. The Henry Miner family was in Warren County, Indiana in 1860 (Source Citation: Year: 1860; Census Place: Washington, Warren, Indiana; Roll: M653_305; Page: 678; Image: 231.) and in 1870 they were in Fountain county (Source Citation: Year: 1870; Census Place: Logan, Fountain, Indiana; Roll: M593_314; Page: 89; Image: 178.) After the respective Fountain County censuses, I lose track of both sisters. Yes, I saw the message board, but the lady researching doesn't have any more information than I do. Has anyone ordered Civil War Records of their ancestor? What info? I have hit a brick wall on a particular ancestor. I know he served in the Civil War. Before I spend the money, do they contain info on his parents? I have everything but the names of his parents. I can't get beyond him. During the time he was growing up, the census records did not list all household members. There were lots of Moore's in Logan County Ohio. I have all his vital info. just not his parents names. He was born in 1823 when registeing a birth was not required by law. and the time he grew up did not list him in the household. H died before they started asking that question on the census. I have everything from him down to me. and his wife's info going to her great grandparents and all the siblings of her and her parents. He was married when he served and had 2 children, so they would have been beneficiaries. All the answers here are helpful, I thank all who answered. This is just going to be one road block that may take years to solve. I don't even have a clue as to his siblings. In the mean time I will keep posting inquiries on the boards. Relationships? My ex and I just broke up i believe Sunday because he moved to Mississippi and he said he just wasn't happy anymore. I am becoming very anxious because usps.com is not updating anything on my tracking information.
