Where can I buy firewood around Salt Fork State Park in Ohio? My family is going camping at Salt Fork State Park in Ohio, near Cambridge, Ohio. We live in a county that is under a firewood quarantine, and we are not permitted to bring firewood from home. Does anyone know where we can buy firewood from a local vendor at a good price near the park. (Has to be the same county as Salt Fork.)
Has anyone ever gone to salt fork state park in ohio? I am thinking about taking a vacation for a few days to salt fork. I like that it has some summer type things to do(beach, horseback riding). I am curious to know if anyone has been there and stayed either in the lodge or cabin. It seems kinda pricey but as long as it's worth the money i don't mind. Is there any where else in the general ohio area that offer the same kinda environment? Thanks in advance for any answers!
CCW in Ohio Parks question? This might be a stupid question but I am honestly wondering what the answer to this question is. Please on serious answers... Last year I went hunting in Delaware County, at Alum Creek State Park.. Went camping with my kids, in the middle of the night 3 coyotes (yes coyotes live in ohio) came up to our tent and started scratching at it, we couldn't get out of the tent as they kept circling the tent, probably smelled food inside the tent. Anyways we had a cell phone and called the Delaware Sheriff because we couldn't get out.. They came about 30 mins later and tried to scare them away but they wouldn't leave so the Sheriff shot at them, and scared them away... My question is this, I now have a CCW and take my handgun with me everywhere.. If I where ever in that situation again what would happen if you took a shot at it, or just shot the gun at the ground to scare it away?
Difference from private campground and state parks camping? Ive been looking online at nearby areas to go camping (northeast ohio) Ive found a couple private family campgrounds...They seem like they have alot to offer. But I have also found state park camping...Whats the difference? Would one be better than the other? We wanna go tent camping with our two little kids.
Can anybody tell me the pros and cons of any of these major state universities? Tell me whatever you'd like about any one of them. Would I, as a New Englander, fit in well? Are the campuses nice? What about the surrounding cities? Are people stuck-up and snobby? Were they not worth the cost? It doesn't matter what you say. University of Wisconsin -- Madison SUNY Binghamton University of Washington University of California -- Los Angelas University of California -- San Diego Penn State -- University Park The Ohio State University (because they get all huffy when you forget the "The" =P) University of Maryland -- College Park I'd only go to the California ones if I got good scholarship deals. Washington is expensive, but it's really not that different in cost from most of the other universities I'm considering.
GUILFORD LAKE STATE PARK (Lisbon Ohio)? Me and three of my friends are planning a trip there. How far are the picnic tables from the beach? Should i bring my own chairs? How clean is the water? Are there grills or should i bring my portable one? Any other tips? I live in youngstown by the way.
Should I go to Penn State or Ohio State? I applied to Penn State and Ohio State, with Penn State main campus being my first choice. I really love Penn state University Park and it has everything i look for and I like it more than OSU, as PSU has better engineering programs, which is what I want to major in, and it is a better school. However, I got rejected from PennState main campus and was only able to get in to the my second choice campus, which is Penn State Harrisburg. I visited Harrisburg and I personally think that this campus is horrible. It also has the feel of a community college, which is bad. If i decide to go to Penn State, i will eventually be able to go to main campus, but i'll have to spend the first one or two years at Harrisburg before I can transfer to main. On the other hand, I got into Ohio State main campus and while i like the Ohio State, I do not like it as much as Penn State main campus. But i do like Ohio state a lot better than Penn State Harrisburg.
which state in the us has the most amusement parks?? I think Ohio has the most. It has Cedar Point, Kings Island and Geauga Lake. If I were to visit a state for amusement parks which state would be best to hit the most parks?? Have you ever gone to these? If so how far were you willing to travel and why did you go here over any other place??

State of Ohio, Laws regarding Tow Companies? I have two questions.. 1.) What is the law regarding a no parking zone, and the hook up. I have heard before if you are parked in a no parking zone, and the tow truck is latched on you will have to pay the bill if he has left or not. Does anyone know of a law that states this? 2.) In the State of Ohio, is it against the Law for an insurance Company to have a dedicated tow company? ( Meaning One Tow Compnay to do thir claims, in a given area..)
What happened to the town of Sprucevale Ohio?!? I know that what use to be the town of Sprucevale Ohio is now Beaver Creek State Park. That's not what I'm asking. I want to know if anyone can find any maps of the town when it was Sprucevale. I would like to see roads, landmarks, dwellings, etc... A few of my friends and I are EXTREMELY curious as to what happened to this town since apparantly it just mystyriously dissappeared. We haven't been able to find a single trace of anything other than the basic history, eg...when and who founded it, and all of the "ghostly" things that happened and go on there.

Ashtabula Ohio? Look for anyone who attended state road elementary in 1963? a little information on the city? They changed the main street into a park so you would not cross the bridge to the other side. Did they fix the bridge or tear it down complete. Who is the main person that run the school there now? are the bread and breakfast places still there? this the lighthouse close Lake Erie open to public now or not? Have there been any major changes in the city that would shock me? Is lake Erie still not open to swimmers? Have the clean the mercury out of the water? In other information about Ashtabula Ohio from earlier 1960 to now that you can share? Looking more information about ohio and if they fix the bridge or not and other information i ask in my details.
Why does everyone say ohio sucks.. best amusement park: cedar point... Best Hospital: cleveland clinic..cavs!? ive seen on countless blogs and websites, even on here saying ohio sucks ..... bashing everything from our economy, sports, weather, even to our countryside ..... i grew up 30 mins out of downtown cleveland and now reside in marysville 20 mins out of columbus and couldn't live anywhere else.... i own my own business and i travel from state to state sometimes even country to country to sale battery backups ..... in short ive been to every state in the union and i dont think any of them are any better then ohio ... we have the best amusement park in the usa in cedar point.... top 3 best hospital on the PLANET in the cleveland clinic .. .and sports although times have been tough with my browns we have some of the most passionate fans in the world when it comes to our buckeyes and browns.... and now we have lebron james an akron native who no matter where i go now i have those jump on the band wagon fans who only like people that are good loving my cavs ..... our economy has had it rough but its like that all over the world and we a probably the most population depth midwest state all the big cities we have ... .columbus, cleveland, Cinci, toledo, akron/canton, dayton, youngstown .... we were big in steel industry which is no more thanks to nafta i still drive to our most depressed city in youngstown and eat downtown and my fave lil italian place there and never feel unsafe like i do when i go anywhere near detroit... i think our state is going to get into the "green" era with our supple land that is surrounded by water (lake erie, and ohio river) with the workforce we have with our land we could really turn this around for our economy.... ohio state is a great school and everywhere i go people at least respect my buckeyes(not many wolverine fans can say that)... and our weather does sucks lots of cold and gloomy but we dont worry about hurricanes... we really never had an earthquake... we get tornados as does every u.s state but none cause much damage.... and ohio fall is one of the most beautiful you can find anywhere.... dont get my wrong i love the usa ... the carolinas are beautiful... i love georgia... and manhattan is unlike any other city in this world and i love it too. ... but ohio doesn't suck!!!!

Can I get into law school with a misdemeanor? Ironic question, but I had a little implication with the police over a year ago and felt I should check before beginning to study for the LSAT. It was a misdemeanor for smoking pot in a state park in Ohio. License was suspended for six months and I paid a fine. Should I be worried about this information being accessible by law schools?

is there an ohio law that states cars have to be parked a certain distance from a mailbox? The post office has stopped delivering our mail because they say they can't get to the mailbox. It's blocked. It's not blocked. The mail carrier just doesn't want to have to back up. Any cars parked in front of our house are at least 7 feet away from the mailbox. I don't see what the problem is here except that our mail carrier is just lazy. It is a public street and cars are parked on it everywhere.

Is there any good parks in the area bettween Ohio and Massachusetts? I am looking for a good roller coaster park to go to on my trip to the east, and I am already going to Cedar Point and Six Flags Great Adventure. I am looking for a park in the area between the states of Ohio and Massachusetts. As south as Northern West Virgina, and Maryland, and as North as New York. And I am not looking for a park like Disneyland, I am looking for a real deal roller coaster park, biggest, fastest, and tallest. Cedar Point is a perfect example. Find a park like Cedar Point. You can give me a list and I will look those up. Thanks!

How do I make a walkway over existing concrete with small stone and epoxy? What kind of epoxy is needed? At a state park in Ohio, the shower rooms floor was covered with stone, I called the people that put it in, they used epoxy and small smoothe stones. They said they put it over existing concrete, makes a beautiful finish. I want to do a 5'X3' pad leading to my flower garden, and I want to do it myself, any one out there with experience that can tell me how. The nearest company would have to travel 63 miles to come do that small of an area, pretty costy, please help.
