- don't know anything in ohio, but i love the website www.dogfriendly.com - I've used it in the Northeast and in Florida, so hopefully they'll be able to help. I'd specifically look for state parks and lakes, camping areas. good luck!
- If you're into the outdoor thing, search for the area you'll be visiting for some good hiking trails. That's a great thing to do with a dog! Tho National Parks do not allow dogs on thier trails anymore, so make sure to keep it state and federal only and research the allowance of dogs.
- put him in a freakin kennal gross that dog is too big to travel with
- East Harbor State Park in Ottawa County allows pets. They have beaches and nature trails.
- take a day where you go have a picnic in the park, take your dog with.
- Take him hiking or canoeing with you.
- AAA has a guide called "Taveling with your pet".
- AAA has listings of pet friendly hotels and there is a growing # of lodgeing establishments that cater to pet owners. Park ,Lunch side walk cafe' ,window shopping lake beach boating. Or you can make him a fake 'guide dog' coat and take him where ever you want.
