  1. don't know anything in ohio, but i love the website www.dogfriendly.com - I've used it in the Northeast and in Florida, so hopefully they'll be able to help. I'd specifically look for state parks and lakes, camping areas. good luck!

  2. If you're into the outdoor thing, search for the area you'll be visiting for some good hiking trails. That's a great thing to do with a dog! Tho National Parks do not allow dogs on thier trails anymore, so make sure to keep it state and federal only and research the allowance of dogs.

  3. put him in a freakin kennal gross that dog is too big to travel with

  4. East Harbor State Park in Ottawa County allows pets. They have beaches and nature trails.

  5. take a day where you go have a picnic in the park, take your dog with.

  6. Take him hiking or canoeing with you.

  7. AAA has a guide called "Taveling with your pet".

  8. AAA has listings of pet friendly hotels and there is a growing # of lodgeing establishments that cater to pet owners. Park ,Lunch side walk cafe' ,window shopping lake beach boating. Or you can make him a fake 'guide dog' coat and take him where ever you want.
