Why is Obama being criticized for talkint too much about Guns and religion in trhe heartland?

MUNCIE, Ind. - Democrat Barack Obama on Saturday conceded that comments he made about bitter working class voters who "cling to guns or religion" were ill chosen, as he tried to stem a burst of complaints that he is condescending. Not Ill chosen, yes? Actually, I admire the man for having a spine and stating fact... I was swimming in a pond once in Logan, Ohio when my nephews were at the same time firing a .22 into it, and could have easily shot me... I found that a bit much, and religion too, of course, with all the Mega churches around that whole area. Coming from there, too. I'd be the first to say it. Bravo, man.

   You know, just like I know, that Obama was not trying to be condenscending.

   He just call it like it is. Jobs are gone, and none have replaced them in rural America.

   So yes, folks are bitter and angry about this.

   So all Obama was trying to do is point this out. See that jobs are put back into those areas and I guarantee that folks will have other things to focus their attention on instead of guns.




4. He's the most arrogant, cocky, self-aggrandizing, impertinent, insolent, grandiose, over-self-estimating, unqualified, utterly preposterous figure in American political history. Never has a man with such a paucity of evidence, with such limited background, such a lack of credentials, such impoverished standing and such an outrageous empty bag of hot-air attempted to gain the highest position in the land. This is a guy who has absolutely no business running for president--not now, and maybe not in 8 years. I will never support him, never vote for him and never even recognize him.

   He stands in the way of a legitimate, given, well-known, proven, trusted, experienced, knowledgeable, qualified and ultimately presidential candidate, Hillary Clinton, and does so by attracting complete NEOPHYTES, utter parvenu, completely naive, politically ignorant, and fully unqualified voters to support him. Many of these come from the other side of the spectrum, only to ruin our best shot at the White House, represented by Hillary Clinton.

   Further, his Afrocentric, racialized, polarizing and bigoted associates, including his WIFE, surely reflect his true beliefs, which he hides so well from the unwary white-guilt-tripping liberal idiots that pay tribute to this inane candidate. I am so ashamed of the Democratic party that I will renounce my membership of 35+ years, if, god forbid, this pretender "wins" our nomination. His appeals to republicans and so forth only confirm my deep suspicion that he his absolutely without principles.




5. The problem is the people he's talking to are much like most of the people on YA, dumber than a box of rocks. I'm a gun owner and I'm still voting for Obama. I'm bitter alright, I'm pi$$ed off that we are in a GD war that should have never been waged. I'm pi$$ed that it costs an arm and leg to see my DR. I'm pi$$ed that the dollar is falling faster than Hillary Clinton's dreams. I'm bitter as hell that 4000 of our best have died in a stink hole of a country who's people aren't man enough to stand up for themselves. Bitter ? I'm way beyond bitter !



6. My question is where does he stand on the gang violence, murder, rape, drug dealing and major weapon ownership.

   He certainly did not attack them. He wants to reduce the penalties.

   What makes him think he has anything to say about a religion.

   If he is using his "Church" as a model..The best thing he can do is keep his mouth shut. .

   He is just pumping smoke up the people and they are eating it up. Just like you have.

   Don't forget this country does not have a dictator. Every thing he has stated has to go through the Senate and Congress and you can bank on it that hardly any of his loud mouth statements will get passed or even considered. First he has to find some one who will sponsor a bill and it is going be to hard for him to find anyone for anything. BANK ON IT.

8. Because people are full of hate. Maybe Obama should listen to Hillary's speeches and pull out parts that could be mistaken and make a big issue out of it. I guess Hillary has thrown everything she could at Obama now she is picking his speeches apart and trying to twist his words to make them something he didn't say. If no on in PA is bitter than he is wrong. I dare say he told the truth.



9. Because sadly race is still an issue and to me he brought it out. It needs to be discussed. He is bringing issues to the table that no one wants to talk about. I agree Bravo!
