Should I go to Penn State or Ohio State?
I applied to Penn State and Ohio State, with Penn State main campus being my first choice. I really love Penn state University Park and it has everything i look for and I like it more than OSU, as PSU has better engineering programs, which is what I want to major in, and it is a better school. However, I got rejected from PennState main campus and was only able to get in to the my second choice campus, which is Penn State Harrisburg. I visited Harrisburg and I personally think that this campus is horrible. It also has the feel of a community college, which is bad. If i decide to go to Penn State, i will eventually be able to go to main campus, but i'll have to spend the first one or two years at Harrisburg before I can transfer to main. On the other hand, I got into Ohio State main campus and while i like the Ohio State, I do not like it as much as Penn State main campus. But i do like Ohio state a lot better than Penn State Harrisburg.

What you can do to get to main quicker is take as many classes as you can fit [and are willing of course]. You could probably make it up here by the following fall. Penn State does have a great engineering program. I wouldn't give that up because you didnt' get to main right away. Though you could always transfer from Ohio to PSU later [huge hassle though].
- I think since you didn't get into your first choice and you do like Ohio State, and you got into that one, then you should go there. Ohio State is a wonderful place and they have a great school. good luck with whatever you decide.
- Go to Ohio State. The Columbus area around the campus is nice. You will enjoy OSU. Really! and if you don't, you could transfer later, but I think you should give Ohio State a shot. Engineering is good at OSU!
