Amusement parks for kids close to cleveland, ohio?

Im looking for something to do out of the state but thats not more then 2-4 hours away for the family. Kids are 4 and 6 so we want to stay away from cedar point...which we do all the time anyway. thanks for any suggestions!

  1. Check the source for info on 'em...

Not sure if thats what your looking for.

  2. You could try Hershey Park in Hershey, PA, but is 5 1/2 hours away. There is also Kennywood near Pittsburgh, PA as well. Neither of these are going to be as good as Cedar Point, but I also close to Cedar Point and a change in atmoshpere is nice.

  3. I would suggest Kennywood or Idlewild just outside Pittsburgh.

Idlewild is for small children but Kennywood has many kiddie rides also. You can get Kennywood passes for $22.00 in Ohio at Discount Dairy Marts. This is an $18 dollar savings.

    Or a Family 4 pack for $75.00.

Parking is free. I am not sure if Idlewild sells tickets in Ohio.

Both parks will have enough to keep the kids happy.

For a price much lower than Cedar Point.

  4. its still in ohio but kings island is fun.. its in mason, ohio not far from cincinnati http://www.pki.com/

  5. Kings Island and Cedar Point both have some great children's areas. We take our kids, ages 2 and 5, to Cedar Point every year and they both love it. King's Island actually has an award winning kid's area. The theme is all Nickelodeon, so if your kids like Dora, Blue's Clues, Spongebob, Diego and all of the Nick characters, they'd probably love going to King's Island!
