Camping at the Deleware Seashore?
In the end of July, I'm going camping for a few days at Deleware Seashore State Park. I've never been there. (I'm from Ohio) I was wondering what sort of things there are to do besides swimming. Especially in case it rains. And, what's the weather like usually at that time? Do hurricanes reach there? I know the park doesn't allow fire pits which stinks but they have showers so I'm all for it.

- There are a couple of towns, Lewes, Rehoboth and Dewey for shopping, movies, mini golf, sea kayaking, restaurants & nightlife. The weather ranges from 80s to high 90s, usually with a bay or ocean breeze. You will want to have DEET for biting flies, ticks and chiggers. Chiggers are teeny, you can't really see them, and they hide in high grasses and sand soil areas (just about everywhere in delaware), if you get bit by them, they don't hurt you, but they itch like hell for about 1-2 weeks. It is a fun area, and there's plenty of stuff to do there. There is also a ferry boat that goes to Cape May NJ, if you wanted to go shopping for the day.
- I was there last June and it was alot of fun. Pretty windy and cold (early june) There are alot of people surf fishing so watch out for their lines! One more note, at the state park there are no camp fires allowed... we just bent the rules a little and started a small fire in our grill but they do watch for it. That is the only reason I am searching for a new beach to camp at this summer... what's camping without a fire?
