Hocking Hills Ohio campsites?

Does anybody know where there is good camping sites with cabins or cottages in Hocking Hills Ohio. I'm looking for something somewhat secluded for about 6-12 people also hopefully near some scenic sites. I've never been there before and trying to plan a camping trip. Hopefully someone out there has been there before and knows some good spots.

  1. I know this isnt hocking hills, but seriously, try Clays Park in Canal Foulton ohio. Oh my, i camp there and its seriously the best place to camp.

  2. You're probably going to have to travel a few miles to get to any of the attractions regardless of your lodging choice from my memories of the Hocking Hills. I camped at a state park campground near a cemetery. There were cabins there. It was fine, but far from secluded. It's been over a decade since my last trip there, and it likely is much different.

This site probably will enable you to find "something somewhat secluded."

I would recommend getting there before the dry season when the falls tend to dry up, although if you catch a summer storm, you'll have all the water you want and perhaps more than is desirable (the park has badly flooded in the past, so take any flood warnings very seriously).

The Tecumseh outdoor drama is memorable IMO, especially if you have school age children with you. Adults enjoy it as well. It's very different.

The Hocking Hills are one of the most beautiful places in Ohio IMO, but some of the hiking (Rock House) is somewhat challenging (or at least it used to be).
